When to change or rekey your locks
- You just bought or rented a home and don't know who still has keys
- A key was lost or stolen
- A tenant, cleaner or contractor didn't return a key
- The lock is worn, stiff or corroded by the sea air
- After a break-in or attempted break-in
Rekeying or a new lock?
Rekeying changes the inside of the lock so old keys no longer work, usually the cheaper option when the lock itself is fine. If the lock is worn, corroded or simply not secure enough, replacing it is the better choice. We tell you honestly which makes sense.
Upgrade while you're at it
Many homes on Aruba stand empty part of the year. A stronger lock on the front door, back door and sliding doors gives peace of mind while you're away. Ask us about smart locks too.
